last night in London (26th Dec) & Jie in Dublin! (27th-29th Dec)

haven't been updating in a while.. exams coming soon and jie's been busy in the kitchen.. this is what happens when u stay in a catered hall with only a microwave to use..


Boxing day.. we overslept. no surprise to that coz we slept quite late. but not all is lost because when we reached Oxford Street at about 8.30, the place wasn't as hazardous as we thought it would be.. but you should have seen the queue outside Topshop. i know in Msia it's prob one of the expensive brands but over in Uk, it's like.. their PDA or Body Glove.. REALLY!.. so most ppl standing outside Topshop were mostly Asains (well, mainly malaysians)..

since Jie and I already knew where we were heading to, we went straight to Armani and lucky for us, there wasn't a queue. Jeez, there wasn't even a SALE sign on the windows, just an insignificant cardboard with small printed letters S A L E up to 60%.. discreet..
so after walking around until 10, Jie, Oliver and I went into Armani.. got wtv we needed then headed towards Acessorize, Morgan de Toi, Fcuk, Dorothy Perkins .. Zara and Mango had good bargains as well but we had enough of them in Spain already..

jie being jie, he wanted to see and get INTO a crowd so we went into Selfridges & co. where they sell expensive branded goods like Gucci, LV, Prada.. something like Pavillion or Starhill ..

the line for Gucci was OUTSIDE the building..! jie being jie again, lined up just to get a number.. he was the 246th person in line.. can u imagine.. i think the first person in line was there since 3 am weih..

i'm happy with wtv i got,without lining up or pushing around with other ppl.. Jie's a much happier man but he wouldn't allow me to say why.. it's just something he got which made him a real happy chip munk..

that night, we went over the Northumberland for dinner. Chai Yee's place but Cheng Wei's cooking.. after 2 days of heavy, rich food it's good to have something light and not-so-fattening.. chinese food!

he used 2 slabs of butter.. i don't need to be lactose intolerant to feel nauseous after this..

Jie baked bread pudding for breakfast.. it was really good or maybe i haven't tried such a thing before.. would go well with ice cream but not in the morning la har...


jie made me promise to let him cook while i study.. at least we get to do what we need to do..
most guys that have not visited the barber (that's including wan lin =p) will have long hair like Wai Ho and Jie..!

wanted to update this a long time ago but it was the night before we we left for Spain so didn't have the time.. we opened one present each before we left for Spain as well.. anniversary thing which most couples do =p

SO AS I WAS ABOUT TO SAY..

almost every other shop here in London is closed on Xmas day. not too sure about Dublin, but it's sort of a policy here to do so unless you're running a 24 hour convenient store and plan to be extremely hardworking on xmas..

so since we still have our cook here in london, we made lunch and dinner..

we made something simple for lunch, spaghetti Bolognaise

it's not as simple as it seems because our chef was such a perfectionist.. which is good coz we get to learn the basics of these itsy bitsy stuf

we watched this movie Love Actually. it was really good though i've never heard of it before. i'm not a big fan of movies. usually ppl will go to ou for shopping or to watch movies. i usually go there for GYM!. that's it.

i'd rather stay home and watch a dvd while snuggling beside Jie.. =p
ok ok, too much info!!

anyways, i recommend u watch Love Actually. especially since we're all in the Xmas spirit now..

it's funny how in one night u can know so many things about basically anything, from food to where robin hood came from..

random i know but it's good for general knowledge =p
