CHOCOLATE BALL & RCSI FLEA MARKET

There's only one word to describe how I feel right now.

Exhausted.

An entire week just passed with a blink of an eye.

It's 8 pm right now and I plan to hit the sheets in an hours time.

Summary of the week that was:
Thursday: Dance rehearsal followed by Jie arriving from London.
Friday: Lecture, baking for RCSI flea market which actually took up close to 6 hours, Chocolate ball and finally, THE dance performance.
Saturday: Sweeties & Hsien Loong arrived from London.
Sunday: Howth
Monday: Guinness Store House
Tuesday: Do laundry, clean room, toilet. living room, kitchen... in essence, almost the whole house.

CHOCOLATE BALL @ RCSI
Friday, 5th December '08

As most of you already know, I was really excited about performing for Chocolate Ball. I remember wanting to since last year's chocolate ball and reading last year's post really showed me how different it is to show up as a performer instead of one of the attendees.

Earlier that day, Jie and I were trying to do a Superman and Superwoman by baking many many mini chocolate/almond/honey croissants, 2 loaves of bread pudding, cinnamon rolls and apple tarts for the RCSI flea market. I really wouldn't know what to do without having Jie around.

Rushing for time is really agonizing especially when you really have to produce a job well done.
We had our 'moments' when we thought the flour was plaster for art (which thankfully wasn't, so those who bought our pastries need not worry...).

Cleaning up was yet another distressing moment though it requires no skills at all.

Preparing for a performance when you're in a hurry is no fun at all. Make up, hair, clothes and the list goes on... But Jie and I made it on time and I'll let the pictures (nabbed from Wan Lin's facebook) do the talking from now onwards.

The 'food' served.
Almost everyone was pretty dissappointed with the food but I must say, I rarely took notice of the food or the fountain as I was wayyy too excited and nervous!

The show started off with a ballet and song piece followed by the fashion show.

The kids were so adorable. More confident than the models from RCSI if I might add!

After that performance, I must agree with Jie that being on stage is one of the greatest feelings in the world!!

I only realised how hungry I was when I walked down from the stage. The butterflies in my stomach were all gone and it's time to chompedee chomp!!!

Jie and I left right away to the other end of Dublin 1, Parnell Street (which was really an irony of ironies judging by how hungry we were) for a 'wholesome' dinner.

RCSI FLEA MARKET
Saturday, 6th December '08

I don't know how much to thank Wan Lin, Hui Xin and Cherisse for helping me promote our pastries. The second hardest thing after baking is to actually market it.

Jie and I were MIA that very day because we had guests from London to entertain!!
I'll leave that post for some other time when my sweeties upload their pictures on FB.

On a random note, the first thing Jie said to me when he reached his room was *this*.

Do *click* and read!

right?

It's pretty freakyy and who would have expect something like that to happen when you're in a midst of a moment?? Then again, if you think about it, it's really possible.
Sigh... next thing you know, we can kill just by staring at each other.
